Biography

I am a dance and English teacher in Northern Italy. I am passionate about language, movement and art and I believe that the beauty of life is when it all connects through something that words cannot fully convey; compassion. I completed a BA hons with the OU in 1998 and since then have worked constantly while creating a family, the essence of the juggler! In 2013 I began writing a novel based underwater and I strived and struggled to understand the lives of sea creatures and the mystery of spirals in nature, myths believed by humans and the incredible and fascinating thread in evolution of symbiosis. I researched as a beginner in biology, coming from an arts and language background, and in time I stumbled upon the work of Lynn Margulis and consequently Fritjof Capra. This was the moment all my 'dots joined up' and I realised that I am, and always have been, a systems thinker... That is how I arrive here. In search of the ever-growing sphere of knowledge, baffled by how overwhelming that feels and therefore in desperate need of finding ways of applying it in practical terms to my teaching and creative work.
